Frequently asked questions

Does composite fencing look like wood?2023-02-15T13:54:13+00:00

Yes, our composite fencing has a natural wood grain look and texture. As it is made up of 55% hardwood fibres it also has a more natural feel to it.

Is composite fencing expensive?2023-02-15T14:35:48+00:00

Whilst the initial outlay of composite fencing is more expensive when compared to most woods, the benefits, both short and long term are better. Composite fence panels do not require yearly maintenance such as painting, sanding or staining. The lifespan for composite can easily pass 30 years and has a 10 year warranty.

Where can I view and buy composite fence panels?2023-02-15T14:40:20+00:00

Our composite fencing is on display at our premises so feel free to call down anytime during our opening hours. Our address can be found at the very bottom of this page.
If you would like samples posted out to you then please feel free to call or email us and we will happily send you out some free of charge.
You can purchase our fencing in house, by email or over the phone. Our online shop will be up and running very soon for composite fencing.

Can you fit composite fencing into concrete posts?2023-02-16T11:00:58+00:00

Yes. Our composite fencing comes with the option of buying concrete post infills that allow you to slot the boards easily in between.

What size are the composite fence panels?2023-02-17T10:21:05+00:00

Each fence panel is 1820mm wide x 165mm high.
When the boards are slotted together the finished height is 155mm.
6ft high fence would require 12 boards.
4ft high fence would require 8 boards.

Our composite fence panels can be easily cut down to any length with a chop saw or hand saw.

What is composite fencing made of?2023-02-15T12:45:05+00:00

Our composite fencing is made up of 55% recycled hardwood fibres, 35% recycled plastics and 10% additives. Using only hardwood fibres makes our composite products stronger and reduces the initial fading when compared to other composite materials on the market.

Is composite fencing maintenance free?2023-02-15T12:51:17+00:00

Like with majority of materials and products, composite fencing is not maintenance free, however, it does not require sanding, painting or staining like wood does. A simple regular wash with a hosepipe, warm, soapy water or a power wash is enough to look after your composite fencing for years to come.
Take care when using a power wash as you can damage the surface finish of the boards if the pressure is too high or you go too close with the hose.
